Kirk Bagby

I grew up in rural south-east Iowa in the home of a pastor, and I was homeschooled from K-12th grade by my mother. Both of my parents are graduates of Vennard College and Wesley Biblical Seminary.

When I was a child I was saved at a children's service at our local camp meeting, the Iowa Holiness Association (IHA) camp meeting in University Park, IA. When I was a teenager I was sanctified wholly in an evening service at IHA.

After graduating from high school in 2011, I and my twin brother moved to Kentucky Mountain Bible College (kmbc.edu) in Jackson, KY. There I earned a BA in Religious Studies with an emphasis in Christian Ministries (specifically, Communications with Christian Education). Also, I worked part-time in the IT department all four years.

After graduating from KMBC in May 2015, I joined the staff continuing my work in the IT department. I also served as a Teacher Assistant in two classes (CS201 "Basic Computer Literacy" and ED322 "Media Methods"). Also, I served as the Program Manager of Mountain Gospel Radio, a local Southern Gospel radio station, from 2015 until August 2021.

In August 2021, I resigned from Mountain Gospel Radio and reduced my responsibilities at KMBC in order to attend Asbury Theological Seminary full-time. Currently, I am earning both an MA in Theological Studies with an emphasis in Philosophy & Apologetics and a ThM in Theological Studies. Lord willing, I plan to graduate with both degrees in May 2025.

While attending Asbury Seminary full-time, I continued serving KMBC part-time in the IT department and in teaching a few classes. Then, in August 2023 I accepted the position of registrar of KMBC, and I resigned from serving in the IT department.

After I graduate from Asbury Seminary, I plan to continue teaching at KMBC and serving as the registrar. Christian education has made an indelible impact upon my life in many ways, and I wish to serve others by teaching them the truths of God's Word!
